In the last 5-6 years , I think, the amount of "social medias" has increased , Facebook now is considerated a plataform for old people, and since the scandal of databases , most of the users habe migrated to another plataform because they personal data was sold , even so I didn't , for the memes and nostalgia basically. When it started to get popular in Chile most of my friends started an acount even when you were supossed to be an adult to do it , but it was fun , it had games and memes.
About what you share, there is people like me that just share othe people publications, but there is people who share every second of their life and that's dangerous , in other countries habe been cases of people who got their houses robbed cuz they shared every single day their though, like "how exited they where to go on vacations on x day". You must set a limit; even since the old chatrooms to this day , you never could know 100% who was in the other side of the chat, a scamer or even a killer in the bad cases , or a friend or even someone to love . We must remember that cases where people(teenagers in more %) meet their "ciber dates" in real life and had a bad ending are from decades ago.
Facebook and alike's lets you meet people around the globe and know about their lives, yet every single thing typed online could be a lie, and to avoid that you can live witouh social media, it's all your choise, I would think twice if that mean mising new jokes or memes.

That was so a deep and serious topic about the increase without limit upon use of the social media, i share your opinion Randy
ReplyDeleteSadly lots of people(even kids) are vulnerable to this, due a lack of "Ciber-social manners"
DeleteI use Facebook to! not as much as before but i keep my account because of the nostalgic of my teenage years jajaja i often played a lot with my friends in the facebook games like "Happy aquarium" or "Pey socity". I think social media are a useful tool to meet people but you have to be caeful.
ReplyDeleteOMG those games! the nostalgia
